My identity is very much tied to my role as a mother. Motherhood has changed me, challenged me, turned me inside out and right side up. My experiences in this role relate very much to my work as an artist. I know so deeply the importance of presence, of being yourself, of showing yourself and your children the beautiful life you've created for your family. It's not easy. It's the hardest thing I've ever done. But something that has helped immensely in this journey is feeling seen and seeing others.
Ever hear the saying, "the days are long but the years are short"? My hope for you is that you'll gift yourself these memories, so that one day when you wake up and your kids are suddenly 10...15...23...35...you'll have these precious keepsakes. I can't wait to walk alongside this journey with you. Because it's CRAZY.
I know we can make magic together & I can't wait to meet you
I first became interested in photography as a child. I loved sifting through magazines, family photos, and even other people's family photos. I loved finding the stories within them or finding myself in some distant memory. My interest was really sparked in high school when I learned how to work a 35mm camera and develop my own film. I even met my future husband in that class! It wasn't until I became a mother that I made a career out of it, and I'll never look back!
just a few of my favorite things
Going to the beach, or any warm place!
Moving my body, whether it be a walk, workout video, or stretching
Forcing my kids to go out at golden hour so I can photograph them
